General Information: Located on the Atlantic coast, Porto is the second largest city in the country with a population of about 235,000. The historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is the most important economic and industrial center of Portugal, one of the most important export products produced here is port wine. There are several universities in Porto, the oldest of which is the University of Porto, founded in 1911, where about 30,000 students are enrolled. The university consists of 14 faculties.
Study programs and specializations: A bachelor's degree and a master's degree in psychology are offered. In the master's program, students can choose from a wide range of specializations, including neuropsychological rehabilitation, pediatric psychology, and group therapy in health care.
Study schedule: The winter semester begins in early/mid-September and ends in early February. The summer semester starts in early/mid-February and ends in mid-late July.
Other Information: Erasmus students can participate in Portuguese language courses.
